The tide table at Mimizan

Why consult our tide table? It’s the essential tool for planning your maritime escapades!

1. For water sports enthusiasts: whether you’re a seasoned surfer or a bodyboarding beginner, knowing the tide times will help you choose the best time to take on the waves.

2. For anglers on foot: would you like to enjoy some seafood or go surfcasting? The tide table will tell you the ideal times to go fishing and collect shellfish (rakes are forbidden).

3. For walkers: take advantage of the beaches at low tide for long romantic strolls or relaxing moments with the family.

How to use our tide table?

It’s as easy as building a sandcastle!

– Consult the timetable: every day, you’ll find the times of high and low tides.
– Plan your activities: based on the times, organize your day to make the most of the beach and water activities.

A little extra advice: don’t forget to check the weather forecast before setting off on your adventure. Sun and waves are the perfect combo for an unforgettable vacation at Mimizan!

Water quality

At Mimizan, we take great care to ensure the quality of your summer bathing. Two accredited laboratories carry out regular checks to ensure that your seawater is healthy and ideal for relaxation.

TheAgence Régionale de Santé (ARS) takes samples every 15 days, from mid-April to mid-October, at the Garluche lifeguard station. For its part, the Laboratoire des Pyrénées et des Landes (LPL) takes samples once a week in July and August, again at the Garluche aid station.

These rigorous analyses enable Mimizan to offer you optimal bathing conditions, so you can enjoy the ocean in complete peace of mind.
