With his convictions and two decades of writing and cultural activities behind him, Makja writes and performs a French chanson where words have not forgotten that they can play a role, that razor's edge poetry that shakes up every time he appears on record or on stage.
It was in the 90s that he scribbled his first phrases, laid down his first flows, carried away by the fever of the rap scene, whose unfiltered side he loved. His talent for writing was honed by his contact with the most vulnerable, with whom he runs writing workshops in prisons and hospitals, and with children and the elderly.
In 2016, Makja won the Prix Centre des Ecritures de Chanson Voix du Sud, and in 2019, he took part in season 8 of The Voice.
